Race Face Single Ring

The guys at RaceFace have announced their new chain ring, which they claim to be stronger than most of the other rings, yet very light. This is due to the 4mm thickness of it ( most of the rings are 3mm thick ) . It is made out of 7075 aluminum, keeping the weight low: 40 grams !

Tooth blue version

The ring will come in 32, 34, 36, 38, and 40 teeth versions. It will be singlespeed, 9 speed and 10 speed compatible. The graphics are laser etched, and the color choices will be : Rum Red, Tooth Blue, Bad Ass Black and Gold Member.

Can’t wait !

Come on, I wanna go to the mountain wtf !! I hope that everything will turn out to be OK. If it does, I might even take part in the Stepdown contest thingy !! Laters!

BikeXpert

One morning, I recieved a phonecall from a friend named Teo. He was asking me to go with him to BikeXpert so that he could get his bike built up. I got on my bike, taking another friend along too, and went to the shop. I met Teo there, and he was all happy and stuff. He then informed me that we had to go to a different bike shop later so that he could change his seat and seatpost, as the one he had at that time did not fit into the frame.
After the mechanic had been working for like 20 minutes on the bike, he realised that he had forgotten the frame’s drop-out thingies. He took a taxi, rushed home and was back in another 20 minutes. After he came, we entered the service room. The guy made a mistake when puttin on the crankset ( Truvativ Hussefelt) and had to take it off and put it on again. This wouldn’t sound that bad, but he had the installing instructions in his hand . While the guy kept working on the bike, me and Teo went in their showroom to look for a stem for his bike. We found a Prodigy stem that was labeled with a price of 160 Ron, but, when they got one out of the back of the shop, they charged 210 RON for it or something similar. He accepted to pay this price for the stem, being pretty excited of getting his bike built up.
OK, that’s enough for only one post. I’ll post the second part of this in the near future.
